INSPIRED BY FELT

Hi, I'm Natalie. As a Montessori teacher I am always on the look out for practical life resources that are natural, durable and beautiful. I stand proudly behind these products, which have been tested robustly in Montessori environments by children aged 2 – 6 years.
My products use NZ Merino and Corriedale wool. They are all natural and handcrafted by skilled artisans right here in Otautahi, New Zealand.

I love to make things with felt, and I enjoy seeing the children in my Montessori classroom using my felted materials with focus, purpose and joy. In the classroom I see first-hand how children connect with these learning resources. Felted wool, with it's soft texture, beautiful colours and durability is appealing to all ages.
I am so happy to be able to combine my love for teaching and felting. I feel proud to produce quality materials which are hand made, support local business, and which follow the principles of the Montessori method of teaching.
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

Montessori transferring activities with large bowls and large balls is a whole hand transfer - a great way for children aged 15 months to 3 years to develop fine motor skills and coordination and manual dexterity.

Tong transfer activities are a wonderful way for 3 – 6 year old children to develop fine motor skills, coordination, and concentration. Holding tongs helps a child to strengthen hand muscles and hand-eye coordination.
